Internationale Automobil Turnier Bad Homburg 1959

Special participants badge from the International Automobile Tournament of Bad Homburg from 1959. Compare this one to the standard badge from this event which appears on this site and reads Internationale Rallye 12 - 14 juni 1959 in the banner across the top. This one reads FUR MITARBEIT or "For Cooperation" and would have been issued to someone special very in the organization of this event. I have seen badges like this VERY rarely, less than 5 in 1,000. AVD was the sanctioning body and the Frankfurt Automobil Club was the Sponsor. 98MM (~ 3 15/16") X 80MM (~ 3 1/8"). Condition is Mint. C. Poellath makers mark.
