The NorisRing opened in 1947, quite shortly after the end of WWII. Pedro Rodriguez died there in 1971 when his Ferrari crashed, burst into flames and burned to the ground. This drivers medalion dates from 1952 and shows the racy design of a motorcycle at speed being persued by a Formula car. It includes the flags of the 9 countries invited. The crest of the Motorsports Club of Nurnberg (ADAC) added in the early style. 82MM (~ 3 3/16") in diameter. condition is Excellent to Near mint. (A second piece is available that has been drilled for mounting)
